What I Am Reading

What I Am Reading 6/6/25

I have my mojo back, and I’m reading again.

It seriously bummed me out that I just fell flat last month. I was starting to think it was going to be a rough climb out of it. But then, like a switch, things turned back on. And I’ve been chugging along ever since. My house is even clean, which is really the biggest surprise of all. I do not clean my house willingly. Now, I can’t stop cleaning my house. Except my daughter’s toys. Those shall always be the bane of my existence.

So I’m feeling like I’m back. I’m creating work that I’m proud of again. And things are just clicking. With a busy summer coming up, let’s hope that this is a feeling that lasts.

Now let’s get into what I am reading.

Reading Social Media News

Every month, I keep seeing ChatGPT climbing the charts to being a top web referral for client websites. If you’re ignoring it at this point, your website will suffer and those referrals will go elsewhere. Here’s a look at how you can structure your content for AI.

No matter what industry you’re in, connecting with the right influencers can make it easier to gain a bigger audience for your message. And with LinkedIn targeting creators right now, it’s no surprise that they are guiding B2B marketers on how to best utilize this group.

Reading Books, Books and More Books

Past

When my book club was picking a book for next month, I just had warm feelings when Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt came up. Was it going to challenge me in the least? No. I’ve read it before, and all it had asked of me was to go along on a ride with it. That seemed like exactly what I needed at this moment. It’s light and cheery with a dash of a smart octopus. It’s a great summer read. I honestly loved it just as much on the second reading as I did during the first. It’s exactly what you want to read when you’re experiencing a low point. Score: A

Present

I have several friends who recommend books to me. But I only have one who recommends the very best books. So when she posts a book, I immediately put a hold on it with the library. She’s recommended several books lately, so I’m about to go through a run of her favorite books of the year. This excites me to no end. First up is The Road to Tender Hearts by Annie Hartnett. When I told her I had this book in my possession, her response was that she was jealous because she’d love to experience it for the first time again. And I somehow got even more excited. So here we go… WHEE!

What are you reading? What books are you looking forward to?
